Safe city to explore during the day and at night. Try to aoid "Kesselbrink" late at night and take a friend with you when you are in the area around the main train station. Overall a safe city to visit.

Its a very safe city id say, still there are problems with sexual harassment and catcalling. Some areas (Kesselbrink, HBF) can be a bit creepy at night but if you just keep on walking nobody will hurt you, I think ppl there just want other ppl to talk or for money
Posted: August 18, 2025I think most parts of Bielefeld are safe. There are some spots I would avoide going to at night but overall I feel pretty safe here. I would not be so concearned about a visit in Bielefeld even when you are traveling alone.
