In Brno nothing ever happend to me (in a bad way) There are streets which I don’t feel really comfortable going during the night but even though I did it several times I came back home absolutely okey. There are only few parts where I am a bit more aware and looking around but generally I would describe Brno as a safer place.

In general, Brno is very safe. I have no problem walking or using public transport alone after dark. There are places where strange existences congregate (the main train station), but usually you just have to ignore them. The possibility of some kind of harassment is probably everywhere in the world. In Brno there is usually no danger.
Posted: July 30, 2024As always, it depends on which part of the city you're in. In daylight I wouldn't be worried anywhere, at night/when it gets dark I wouldn't recommend going through Cejl or being at main train station alone. Not that anything would happen to you, but some really weird individuals are there at night and I personally feel uneasy traveling through there alone at night. Ignore drunks and ignore sketchy looking people. Czechs aren't usually very talkative with strangers, so some random person talkig to me on the street would raise some red flags for me (but in bars/clubs/pubs or other social spaces people can be friendly)

I would say that Brno is quite save place. You just need ti svoje certain places at night (main train station and a pls d called "Cejl") and watch your stuff. Im not usually worried at night going by myself home.

Brno is really very safe city, as a woman you dont have to worry about any crimes or safety at all. We are little bit grumpy people in Czechia, especially older generation, but you will not experience oral assault or anything else. Also Brno is city full of students (lot of them from abroad).
Posted: July 8, 2024Brno overally is safe. Even as a woman, you can walk home lonely at night and meet other, although there are some places like Cejl, which are not so safe, So find you acommodation in other parts. It's also common to meet a lot of drunk people, especially at weekend nights in city centre, since it's a national sport in Czechia, but they are mostly harmless.
Posted: July 1, 2024Brno is the second-largest city in the Czech republic and is really safe and tranquil due to low crime rates. It is a student city because of several universities and lots of students there (international as well).
Posted: May 1, 2024I think Brno is safe enough but there's no harm in being cautious.

I felt very safe there are many activities. People's approach is nice. It is also close to many countries, which is a great advantage. I was able to go to Vienna, Germany and Lithuania with ease. I enjoyed every moment I lived here
Posted: August 16, 2024I loved Brno and I really enjoyed it there. Great shopping, food, very affordable prices, beautiful cathedral, cool castle, and excellent beers. The old town is beautiful.
