It depends on locality where you staying. Some parts of Brno are really nice and safe. Some other parts are more uncomfy to be there and sometimes a bit dangerous for lonely woman (like “Cejl” or “Štěpánská” street)
Posted: April 11, 2025I think Brno is one of the most safest city in Czech Republic. But we also have dark places.Fortunately I haven’t got much bad experience with some attack or theft. But to be sure I have pepper spray.I feel safe 8/10 here.
Posted: April 7, 2025As a student who is there every day, I would say, Brno is pretty safe for solo travellers. It has great public transportation, I don’t remember ever being assaulted. Though it has quite a lot of homeless people, they are pretty harmless

Don’t be scared around main train station - there are some weirdly looking (and smelling people) but i think every city has homeless people around main train station. If you ignore them, they will ignore you. Other parts of city are okay and i always felt safe.
Posted: February 2, 2025Moderate, could be better, but could also be so much worse. Through the daytime it's safe to walk around and you won't have to worry much about getting something stolen.. And when it comes to women specifically, you'll most likely get cat called and things like that. And through the night I recommend you stay out of certain areas.
Posted: January 29, 2025The city is generally safe, you can encounter some drunks and homeless people as everywhere, but nothing to be scared of, besides the occasional stares. One place I would avoid during night time is a part od Brno called Cejl

I see Brno as a safe city. I haven't been robbed or asaulted in any way here And I have been living here for my whole life. But eventhough I ser Brno very safe, I would not go alone in the dark through parks or dark streets. But I would not do this in any city.

Brno is very safe city. For how big the city is i feel very safe here. Im not scared to walk aroun alone even in the nighttime. I study here and I am originally from Liberec. I love studying in brno and there are many young people
Posted: January 23, 2025I've moved here from Poland and I feel much safer here. There are areas that are a bit dangerous for a woman to walk alone at night but the city overall is pretty safe. Czechs seem to be calm and minding their own business. When I'm coming back home at night I feel more safe than I used to and I usually don't worry about my safety.
Posted: January 23, 2025Brno is the best city for woman! Other than some drunkies that will just yell at you for cigarettes no one will harm you. I came home after 2-3am so many times and even in night busses never had any problems

I felt very safe there are many activities. People's approach is nice. It is also close to many countries, which is a great advantage. I was able to go to Vienna, Germany and Lithuania with ease. I enjoyed every moment I lived here

Hello, my name is Kristína (22). I live in the Czech Republic (Brno), and I would love to explore the world. I'm traveling alone, but I'm open to getting some connections and maybe even some travel buddies. I like to read, get to know new cuisines and cultures. I'm an artsy person, so I tend to visit historic sites and galleries, but I don't mind spending the day on the beach. If you're in Brno, don't hesitate to contact me, I can show you around. :)
