Brno is the best city for woman! Other than some drunkies that will just yell at you for cigarettes no one will harm you. I came home after 2-3am so many times and even in night busses never had any problems
Posted: January 16, 2025even tho it is the second largest city in czech it is very safe. there are beatiful places to see from all types of architecture and historical things to lush nature. most of the time i feel veryvery safe. i have lived here my whole life amd nothing bad really happen. yes a few word harrasments on the streets but nothing at all life threatening. it is more stundet/café city haha. there are a few parts where you can get harrassed more easily but they are not even that pretty to visit. sometimes on the main train station you can see a bit weird people but still nothing to really worry about:)

I think Brno is mid safe for women. If u obey rules such as ride in the back of a taxi, don't smile at weird men outside, leave or speak back if someone tries to approach u. If u are a pretty woman, man will try to talk to you but if you say them no and express anger they will let you be.
Posted: January 10, 2025Brno is a fun city especially for students. There are many bars and places where you can meet up with people. On the other hand there are not many interesting sights so if you want just chill out and meet some new buddies it is great city.
Posted: January 9, 2025Brno is in my opinion safe for female solo travellers. You should avoid locations like Cejl and Komárov during the night but the other areas should be safe to walk alone. The city centre and area around the castle are bautiful and safe.
Posted: January 6, 2025It’s a very safe city in the middle of Europe. Of course sometimes something can happen. But if you are careful (staying out of Cejl, Main train station, Stará osada) then you’re gonna be good. I hope you’ll enjoy your stay!
Posted: January 4, 2025Brno is over all a very safe smaller city compared to Vienna or Berlin. Pickpocketers aren't here almost at all and if you don't go to certain parts at night (Cejl)at night, you don't have to be worried about your safety. The public transport is also really safe.
Posted: January 4, 2025Brno is overall a safe city, with low rates of small petty crimes such as pickpocketing. It's safe for traveling at night at most of the city with well planned night buses. You may sometimes experience some catcalling, but it's not so common as people are keeping to themselves pretty much.

Center of the Brno feels very safe. There are some district like in every town where the safety may be different but overall I feel very safe here. Some places may just look ugly (dirty, homeleds people) but nothing happened to me there.

Brno is a very safe city, you don't really have to worry about anything, even as a solo traveler. Some people in certain areas can be rude and you can get a bad vibes from them, in that case I personally just ignore them and do my bussiness, but nothing really happens overall.

I felt very safe there are many activities. People's approach is nice. It is also close to many countries, which is a great advantage. I was able to go to Vienna, Germany and Lithuania with ease. I enjoyed every moment I lived here
Posted: August 16, 2024I loved Brno and I really enjoyed it there. Great shopping, food, very affordable prices, beautiful cathedral, cool castle, and excellent beers. The old town is beautiful.

Hello, my name is Kristína (22). I live in the Czech Republic (Brno), and I would love to explore the world. I'm traveling alone, but I'm open to getting some connections and maybe even some travel buddies. I like to read, get to know new cuisines and cultures. I'm an artsy person, so I tend to visit historic sites and galleries, but I don't mind spending the day on the beach. If you're in Brno, don't hesitate to contact me, I can show you around. :)
