Is Lienz worth visiting?

Solo travel

Except one encounter i generally felt very safe in Lienz. I can recommend visiting Tristacher lake and the Dolomitenhütte as well as Karlsbader Hütte. In my opinion the food was better outside of town, as an example at Marinellis or Dolomiten-Waldschenke in Amlach. I stayed at a friends house so I can't say much about hotels or public transportation.

Is Lienz safe for women?

It‘s a small town where not much crime happens. Occasionally there are some incidents but nothing major to worry about. For travelers, especially women I wound definitely recommend visiting since it’s not only safe but also very beautiful here.
