I went alone for a day in Bamberg at the end of january 2025. Bamberg is a very cute city in south east germany. There can we find nice architecture and also interesting museums. I fully recommend the diocese museum which displays very beautiful and rare textiles. Then you should of course visit the main cathedral even though it remains more good looking from the inside (in my opinion) Something great about Bamberg is that you can walk fast out of the city and go for a little hike to climb to the Altenburg.
