About me

Hi! I'm Laura and I'm new to this app, but not new to traveling and couch surfing! I've met amazing friends over the years and would love to continue to do so. I hope this app will offer some opportunities. I'm German and live in Frankfurt. I travel, whenever possible and like to stay with friends or surfers. I can also offer a couch for up to 2 people in a separate room. But I have 2 cats, so you should be fine with them (and their hairs! 😂) I speak German, English, Japanese, some French and basic Korean.

Is Germany safe to travel?

4.5 /5

Based on 12 experiences

Dresden, Solo travel

I was surprised at how beautiful the city of Dresden is, very clean and safe compared to many cities in Germany. The architecture in the city center is more like French or Italian architecture, which is nothing short of amazing! The best coffeeshop in the city is called Oswaldz, located near the center and with incredibly delicious coffee. I also recommend eating at restaurants like Mama Mia, Shiki, but the price tag there is not cheap, rather than the usual restaurant level in Germany. Visit the suspension road in the city and see the city from above.

Berlin, Solo travel

When I was in Berlin I felt safe, I meet so many good people who became my friends... It is really a big city so if don't have a bike , you will have to pay an average amount for public transport. It is a strange and astonishing city, don't miss it !

About Me

I am sweet, patient, an experimentalist, explorer, a scholar, and much more! I have recently graduated with a MA in Psychology and chose to explore a little bit of the world before going back to school for a Ph.D. in Counseling. I believe experiences and the connections we make along the way are much more important than possessions. Whether we are sharing a meal, a deep conversation, or just a cup of coffee, I am all about making connections. I am naturally curious and love hearing stories from different walks of life—everyone has something unique to share I have always wanted to travel and believe it is a way of understanding the world and myself a little better. Whether it is exploring hidden gems in a bustling city or getting lost in nature, I am always up for an adventure. When I am not traveling, you can find me diving into a good non-fiction book (I enjoy reading about psychology, neuropsychological, spirituality, self-help, and more), experimenting in the kitchen, or working on my latest passion project. I am easygoing, respectful, and always willing to lend a hand—whether that is helping out with chores or just being a good listener. I am a yoga instructor, and used to instruct mindfulness and secular yoga to elementary and middle school children. I can share my knowledge about movement (physical fitness) and health! I am also a wonderful cook. I would say I am most knowledgeable about relationships and emotion. I am a passionate learner who enjoys diving into new topics, whether they are related to culture, history, science, or anything in between. I believe there is always something new to discover, and I am always eager to expand my knowledge through meaningful conversations and experiences. Whether it is discussing the latest book I am reading, exploring a new city, or simply learning from the people I meet, I am constantly asking questions, and am driven by curiosity and the desire to understand the world and myself better

Cologne, Solo travel

Yes, it was a nice experience. I lived in Bonn, but I used to travel to Cologne. It was for a trip, and I visited the harbor bridge. It was already quite nice and had a lot of restaurants that matched my taste, so I very much loved the food. I really liked it, and I look forward to visiting it again officially. It was an unplanned trip because it was due to business. I had one more day, which I used to explore Cologne.
