Solo travel
Safety is not what Nantes gives as I heard but I never felt in danger. In the other hand Nate’s is very popular for the art and cultural event. Nantes had also an airport that makes your travel life easier.

I love nantes! It's great for 2-3 days visit. The natural history museum is a must do, as well as walking the "green line" which takes you all around the city. A lot of the activities are pretty cheap or free (museums or walking around). You can visit Trentemoult within Nantes, beautiful buildings and quiet atmosphere. Nantes is not the cheapest, but you can definitely find good deals. I can't speak on accomodation as I was staying with a friend.
