I’m Chelsey, an American author & tarot reader based in the south of France. I’ve also lived in London and Istanbul, and know first hand how nice it is to have friendly faces while moving around the world. I currently live in Avignon with my partner (a musician who is often away for work), and have a dog, Fletcher, and a cat, Figg. Is Avignon safe for female travelers?

Avignon is a pretty city thanks to its ramparts and its papal palace. I recommend doing the palace as a combined ticket with the famous Avignon bridge to save money. On the other hand, I do not recommend the combined ticket including the papal gardens, the plants look dehydrated and there is not much to see.
