Its pretty safe as long as youre careful ie no walking with big headphones on at night alone, no walking alone around bars, basically dont walk alone and are not aware of ur surroundings. Other than that, its pretty safe

Depending on where you’re at, Champaign can be safe or more unsafe. I’ve felt safe near campus at night, but there are neighborhoods in the city I would avoid. In general, I would say it’s better to travel with a companion if possible just in case.
