Overall I feel safe 95% of the time! Just like everywhere, during the day, overall it is very safe, and at night is is still safe but good to have your whits about you as a woman. Using normal precautions will be just fine x
Posted: December 1, 2024It is a lovely city, I love walking around during the day but at night it is not the best if you are alone or if you live on secondary roads. We have experienced a lot of criminal episodes especially on Fawcett road lately, but it is common even in main roads like Albert road

Mags, keen traveller, and love meeting new people. Married to Jonathan who also likes travelling (we met on a trip to india) but we don't always travel together. I'm suuuper independent! I love food, wine, seeing new stuff, and meeting new people. Movies. Music. Words. Books. Walking/Hikes. Beaches. Wildness and nature. Cities and noise and colour. History and Archeology. Occasionally a bit of a dance/club. Interested in global affairs but more about how people live and are impacted by the madness of political decisions than the rights or wrongs of a particular situation. I've clocked up more than 100 countries and lived in UK and Belgium. 50 has come as a shock - i feel 35.
