Ive lived here for a few years, I'd say its a safe area depending where you're going. But making friends here is hard as i find people are not as friendly. I hope you can find friends here if thats what you're looking for, well im certainly looking to make friends but for some reason its not happening here in Bradford
Posted: February 23, 2025Through the day I would say Bradford is a moderately safe place to visit with lots of interesting architecture that is currently changing. However, my friends and I have all noticed a decline in police presence on an evening in the town and we now choose not to venture in the centre unless we are in a group. I personally have been whistled at/shouted at by strangers (last time alone in 2019 - haven’t been since). I haven’t tried since then but I don’t know if the police presence has improved.
Posted: February 2, 2025I have lived here for many years and personally don’t think it’s that safe of a city, especially if you’re solo female traveller. It’s not so bad in the day time if you’re shopping or finding places to eat but a little different at night. Plenty of crime in this city!
