Relatively safe, for solo women I’d definitely say keep vigilant but most people are very friendly. Walking alone at night can be a little intimidating but overall safety is pretty good. If you are worried there is usually someone about to help
Posted: May 19, 2025Bangor is a small city and everthing is within wlaking distance. I never feel unsafe walking along or in the dark. As its small there is very little light pollution so it is darker than usal but this is not a problem. There is a big student community with lots of people who will look out for you if anything happend when going out. I have not had a bad experience here yet.
Posted: December 23, 2024Bangor is quite safe to walk in, since this is basically a student city with a mix of lovely local people. It's quite a small and old city, sometimes you can also find some people who transit here to go to Snowdonia or Anglesey so public transportation is quite nice.
