Posted: May 30, 2025Casablanca is a very big city . It’s not very safe as all the big cities in the world.. Vistiors should pay attention a lot especially in popular streets . Furthermore they should not walk holding their phones in their hands or their bags because there’s ones who steal while driving motorcycles
Posted: May 11, 2025My friend got her purse cut right off her shoulder by two young criminals passing by bike right onto a crosswalk in the city centre. Her wallet and driver's license were inside. Wasn't a pleasant experience at all
Posted: March 4, 2025Casablanca is just like all the big cities in the world, there are places where you can feel comfortable and other places where you have to be careful, which I find somewhat normal. You can compare it to Paris or Barcelona, where there are places where I could feel safe and other places where I would be very cautious.
Posted: January 25, 2025Very cool city… i live here for 5 years i’ve never been robbed or something just you should: Stay awake all time and don’t use a lot your phone in streets Take tramway or busway or taxi instead of bus Don’t go to unsafe areas Welcome anytime

Casablanca was the only city in Morocco where I felt uncomfortable and, at times, unsafe. When I was alone on the street for a few moments without my partner, a man showed up and followed me, and only disappeared once my partner came back. In Cafes, I was ignored by the staff, even though I was the one speaking French, thus normally doing the ordering. The mosque is indeed very beautiful, but overall, I wasnt impressed with my time in Casablanca.
Posted: February 11, 2024Experienced: October, 2023I went to Casablanca as a solo woman and had several unpleasant experiences. Men were staring at me and following me on the streets, as well as in my hotel. Taxi drivers with incredibly old and dangerous cars were constantly trying to scam me. I feel it could have been a nicer experience if I had gone there with a male colleague or in a group. I've traveled a lot, but I've never had such negative experiences as in Casablanca. In the end, I was simply happy to return home. I certainly do not recommend Morocco for solo female travelers.
