It’s safe just keep an eye on your belongings. Don’t walk alone at night. During the day the streets are bustling and busy. Pickpocketing is a threat in these conditions. Haven’t experienced any violence or sexual harassment
Posted: August 14, 2025Not very safe, unfortunately had some bad experiences. People trying to scam us all the time even the mocal guides. People getting angry if you dont wanna buy. For example in ait ben hadou the guide said that we had to pay an entrance when thetr was no entrance. The little factories of argan oil bully you to buy their overpeiced products etc. You agree a price, you go to pay they try and charge even more. Menu prices in the restaurants where the guides made us eat (he did not let us choose) were similar to mainland Europe (14-20 euro).

I would not go here as a female solo traveler. There was one time that I was with my three children, and without my husband. I was a bit lost and a man approached me to give me directions and started to lead me down a street that did not feel safe. My antenna went up and so we hightailed it out of there. My gut told me there was something was off. In general, the men are pushy, and you have to watch for pickpockets. I had to worry about those things with my husband there.
Posted: June 26, 2025For foreigners Marrakech is very safe at daylight and at night especially in the center of the city All my friends who came from abroad told me that they feel so safe in Marrakech because whenever you’re you can find police and people are so nice
Posted: June 19, 2025Safe but don’t trust in people they may cheat you on the price of things and raise the prices. They also try to force you to buy things from them or eat. Most of them are kind, but some try to force you to do things, so be careful. They are generally kind people, but beware of going into the old city at night, especially in the late hours and in the alleys that are dark. Always go to public places that are full of people. If you are exposed to any harm, go to the police because they are quick to take action and will help you.

I traveled solo to Morocco for 4 days. I went quad biking in the desert, rode camels, ate delicious local food, wandered through the souks, and watched sunsets like time had stopped. Traveling alone reminded me how capable I am. Even on a short trip, you can live deeply, reconnect with yourself, and create memories that are yours and yours only 🤍
