Last summer, I travelled among the Greek islands - my advice would be to choose Paros over Santorini and Mykonos, if you intend to visit just one island. Paros offers everything at the same level/quality as the two I mentioned (it's beautiful), but it's much calmer (the others were unpleasantly crowded), less pretentious and much more affordable, simply because it's not as popular. I'm not saying I didn't enjoy my stays on the other two islands, I did, but I definitely won't come back there when the other islands are much nicer.

Definitely worth taking a day trip to Antiparos and also to Naousa (a really nice part of the island, but it costs more to stay there). Buses are very easy to understand and it's really a cheap way to get around all the islands.
