Tampere is a safe city, maybe in the recent years some crimes have occured more than in the past, but very safe and clean and easy city. To go around alone as a female is uncomplicated, and the people will help out if you need help.

I would say Tampere is very safe, but avoid walking alone 22-05 or if you are drunk. Stay with other women. There might be drinken people evenings and weekends, but they are mostly harmless. Finland generally and all Nordic countries are very safe for women.

Tampere is one of the bigger cities in Finland with 255 000 people, but it still feels safe and sort of cosy. The crime rate is low but there has been a slight rise in the last couple months. I have never experienced any harrassment, sexual or other wise.
Posted: October 1, 2024Usually very safe. Very rarely you see random drug users on the streets and only in certain areas. The town centre and most neighborhoods are very safe even to walk home in the middle of the night. If you need a taxi, use Uber or bolt as they’re most reliable.

Tampere is a peaceful city with less people and the crime rate us very low. I walk home alone even at 4 am and it’s fine. On Friday nights maybe some drunk people try to talk to you but they don’t do anything. Other than that its always safe.
Posted: June 23, 2024Tampere feels quite safe to me. I often walk and bike home at night, even through forest. Never felt afriad. Would rate 5/5. At most on weekend evening drunk guys might approach but not even harmfully to me, just wanting to chat.
Posted: April 9, 2024Very safe. Weekend nights might be a bit scarier time, but I have never experienced any problems even when I am walking home alone drunk in the middle of the night. A friend of mine has had an experience of people harassing her during a weekend night. It is not the norm, but if you are going clubbing it is probably better to not go alone. City area is well lit, public transportation is reliable, and there is virtually no risk of pickpocketing. People generally mind their own business, which is often a blessing for a lady traveling alone.
Posted: April 8, 2024Generally Finland as a whole is very safe, although basic common sense caution applies. The city is well lit and spaciously built, so there aren’t many small alleys or anything like that that might make you unsafe or otherwise uncomfortable. I have never experienced any bother or felt truly unsafe, no matter the conditions or things like my clothes. There has been a bit more harassment of lgbt people in the last few years, but it’s, at most, verbal abuse, never physical danger.

Hi there! I'm Ayesha, currently pursuing my Master's degree in Tampere, Finland. I live with my husband. Originally, we both are from Pakistan, and we have always had a passion for exploring new cultures and places. I'm really into makeup and beauty trends, and I love experimenting with new looks. Besides that, traveling is a major passion of mine. I enjoy discovering new destinations, meeting people from diverse backgrounds, and experiencing different cuisines. We believe we are really fun people to be around😄😄😄. And if you decide to host us anywhere, we will be very good guests 😁 and we don’t create messes haha. We are happy to help you out at your place, exchange cultures and even cook a traditional Pakistani meal. We would love for you to travel with us too. And when you decide to come to Tampere ( it is a really beautiful city, just underrated) in Finland we would love to host you and show you around. We have a spacious 2 room apartment. With a kitchen, bedroom and living room. So we can easily host too as theres an extra living room. Looking forward to meeting new friends and sharing stories
