Its finland so i would say i have never feared personally. I have been born here and lived all my 21years here and walked in many towns after 12pm at night and actually never been scared.
Posted: February 21, 2025Lahti is actually known as one of the unsafest cities in Finland. But living here for 6 months and i hadn’t got any bad situation on my mind. People here are rather quite and home lovers so there is a really low chance to meet someone in the streets☺️
Posted: February 20, 2025I think every person experience can be different and is different, for me Finland haven’t been the safest in the past but it also depends very much of who you have around you. Overall Finland can be very safe and people are mostly polite and respect you by giving you your space and not talking to you even in the public.

I would say really safe but ofcourse there is always a change something happens cause people are unpredictable. So maybe avoid walking alone at night in quiet suburbs. But never experienced any kind of harrasment in Finland, at least not that I know of.
Posted: February 18, 2025Really safe 💫 There is kind and cool people helping each other. it is a small city so there doesn’t happen anything serious crimes etc. Safe to walk during the day and also alone at night as there is not much traffic. On Fridays and Saturdays there may be people spending the evening in the hotel nightclub and the town bar so it can be crowded and noisy.

I have not lived here yet long, just few months but Myllykoski is like small village in Kouvola, 15km away from centre so I describe it's very safe. I have lived also near centre before moved in Myllykoski. I felt safe also there when I lived near to centre.

Kuopio is really safe city, because it’s in Finland and it’s not as big place. I feel safe walking back home, even during the night. Of course it’s still good to be awere that something can happen.
Posted: February 13, 2025Helsinki is safe and people are very kind. Tho quite reserved. You are safe to travel in the city either daytime or at night. Finnish people are very honest and crimes are low. Ofc common sense is important
Posted: February 13, 2025Lappeenranta is safe small city. If you are being respectful nothing and nobody will do anything. Just like most of the non Helsinki area Finland it’s safe and quiet. I’ve never felt unsafe here in my city.
Posted: February 11, 2025Overall, it’s a safe city. Nothing bad ever happened to me, and I’ve lived here around four years now. I’m not afraid of walking alone or using public transport at night. There are quite a lot of junkies in city centre (Valkea and some parks) but I’ve never faced any problems with them.

Finland was a serene and beautiful nature experience. I was in the northern part. Perhaps a little cold in August, but what else could you expect from one of the most Northern countries on earth? Felt very safe throughout the day and night, camping was good as well.

I felt very safe in Finland. I stayed at an Airbnb in Vaasa. You can visit the Vaasa Museum, it was really great. I used the train. From Helsinki to Vaasa had a sandwich. It was quite expensive for my budget
