Very safe, even to walk home tipsy at night after a night out (but it is always recommended to have some company!). I have never experienced crime, maybe sometimes some racist comments from non-natives, but the city is in general very safe and friendly
Posted: July 11, 2025It is very safe. Crimes are rare and as a woman i feel completely safe in Tampere. Even at night i dont have to be scared. Obviously still i wouldn't go to some dark places at night alone, but as long as you use common sense, you will be fine

I would say that my city is safe for woman and I personally never experienced harassment or dangerous situations. Thought from time to time some crimes happen overall it’s safe, just be careful as usual.

Kuopio is a relatively safe city. There's small amount of violent crime related to drugs, but if you stay out of drug user circles and don't hang around shady people you should be good. There's a moderate chance that especially conventionally pretty women get catcalled after dark, followed by men or sexually harassed. Sexual harassment at bars is common. However, chances of getting raped by strangers are very low. There's moderate risk of date rape and sexual assault. Be careful who you go home with or invite into your hotel room.

Very safe. Sometimes things happen but not often anything too serious. In the night time on weekends there can usually be some verbal sexual harrashment, but usually not anything physical. I have lived in Helsinki my whole life and there havent been much problems.
Posted: June 30, 2025You can safely use public transport and even walk alone in the evening. In this area people are very friendly. As you get closer to Helsinki (45min by sub) the possibility to get robbed of sexually harassed increases a bit. But this Sarvvik where I live is super safe. I don't even lock my bike

Great countey but quite expensive. The food was good, especially a Finnish restaurant in Helsinki called Zetor which had great food. Helsinki is a quiet city with not much to do, but Oulo was great. The people are friendly and it is a very safe country
Posted: May 29, 2025Finland is very safe overall. Cars and trams will stop for you to cross the streets. I've felt safe traveling alone. There are lights in the forest until 10pm (in the winter). For traveling I'd recommend using omnibus, it's cheaper than the trains. The food is not bad, just tasteless. But I'd definitely recommend trying the Fazer chocolate 😋
