Is Tampere Safe for Solo Female Travelers?

I absolutely loved living and working in Tampere. Kind people. Lovely sights. Beautiful forests. Loved experiencing snow the first time. If you love nature, you will love this city for sure Got to see the Moomin museum. Got to go to visit Vapriiki museum. Lots to see and experience.

Stay away from drunk people at night and you'll be fine at all times. Public transport is safe and reliable. Dress according to the weather so you won't freeze to death in the winter. Don't go swimming too far from the shore or walking on the ice unless other people are doing it.

Never felt unsafe walking home or taking transit by myself any time of the day. Most residents speak perfect English, which is helpful as Finnish is proving somewhat difficult to learn. Buses are reliable and city is very walkable.

Safe, never been in a dangerous situation but sometimes at night there's some creeps in the city centre. I would recommend walking with someone during night if possible. During day it's very safe and people are nice!

Unfortunatelly a few shootings happened months ago but it was shockingly rare and overall Tampere is a very-very safe city. People loves to drink, so the drunk might be concerning but nothing serious.
