I’ve lived in Mikkeli most of my life, and don’t ever remember feeling unsafe. Finnish cities are rather safe and calm, and Mikkeli is the same. You can walk around without worrying about something happening. Nightlife isn’t too bad either, but do still keep cautious of people around you and your drink! Bad things happen even in the safest places, so always look after yourself and your friends no matter where you are 💕 The only major concern I’d have is my bike getting stolen as that has happened to my friends and family multiple times! So keep your bikes locked :)
