When people are drunk all kind of idiotic things can happen. In general people are kind and it’s safe place to wonder around as a woman. I have worked late nights and gone home by foot or bike and I have been completely fine without worry of something bad could happen to me on my way from city to home.
Posted: July 16, 2024Finland is very safe overall. Cars and trams will stop for you to cross the streets. I've felt safe traveling alone. There are lights in the forest until 10pm (in the winter). For traveling I'd recommend using omnibus, it's cheaper than the trains. The food is not bad, just tasteless. But I'd definitely recommend trying the Fazer chocolate 😋
