Igrejinha is a city in the interior, with just over 30 thousand inhabitants. It is a calm place, I have never been harassed in Igrejinha. There is no public transportation, people get around by car, bicycle or walking. German culture is widespread in the region, which is why we have an Oktoberfest festival in October. About 70% of the residents are descendants of Germans who immigrated in the 1800s.
