I love my city! Because it is in Brazil it is necessary to take some extra care, but I consider my city very safe. I’ve been alone in the centre a few times in the middle of the night and didn’t happen anything to me, but for extra safety, I don’t recommend it. It is necessary to know the city and know what is safe to walk alone. But the most parts of the city are really okk Regarding walking with your cell phone in hand, I don’t recommend it anywhere in Brazil :)
