I‘d say its pretty safe. So clearly you can‘t rank it with Amerika or the really big Cities but its safe. We have much Land multiple Villages and the people are friendy and most of them open minded (espacially young people)! We have a lot of culturel partys called „Kirchtag“. It‘s always lots of fun and not dangerous at all!

Southern Carinthia is a biiiig recommendation for anyone travelling, whether you're visiting solo or with friends/family. I've only ever travelled there in summer, but if you're looking for places to go skiing in winter, you can get there as well. Beautiful nature with lots of mountains, rivers, lakes & stunning sunsets! Many hiking trails, I especially recommend the 'Tscheppaschlucht' where you can hike up to a restaurant & get back down by bus. The 'Pyramidenkogel' is another thing you should visit, it's a platform you can climb by stairs or get up via lift & to get back down there's also the options of a zip line & one of the longest closed slides in Europe. From the platform on the very top, you have a beautiful view of the region. You should also go on a 'Sommerrodelbahn', try regional food like 'Kaasspätzle' or 'Ribisel'-jam, drink 'Almdudler' & visit some lakes like the 'Wörthersee', 'Keutschacher See' or 'Ossiacher See'. We always travel by car which works perfectly for us as it's only around 1.000 km from home & to be fair, it's a lot easier to get around by car (just be aware that you'll have to pay for a 'Vignette'!!) rather than by public transport (it is possible tho, just more complicated & you probably cannot see the smaller villages).🙈
