Is Graz Safe for Women? Crime in Graz

I've been living there for 2 years now and never felt anything negative. It's very usual for me to go home in the middle of the night and nothing wrong happened till this day. However there may be districts that are safer than others. Maybe I'm lucky. As far as I've heard the area at the other side of the Mur is not very safe. Also the Stadtpark I've heard they're dealing drugs there at night. But I've never experienced it myself.

Graz is the second biggest city in austria and is overall really safe. Of course I wouldn't recommend being at sketchy places like the train station or the "stadtpark" at night because there may be drug addicts but I mean that's common in basically any city I have seen. During the day you have nothing at all to worry about. : )

Graz is a very safe city, like all cities in Austria. As a woman you can never be 100% sure that there won't be any sexual harassment in the streets/in Clubs/bars, but all in all I'm feeling safe here and have never been attacked or mugged or anything like that :)

Graz is a city in Austria and you are very save. Because The hole country is save. Some people might be strange or unfriendly. But if you ignore them, than they leave you allone. I recommend this city.☺️

Graz is a beautiful town with lots of history to visit, in certain areas in the Centre of the town I would not go alone back at nighttime . It’s better to travel with friends or to visit a local person.

Graz is a very safe city. You don't have to be afraid to walk home in the dark. The public transportations are also safe. Moreover, all parts of the city are safe. Where I wouldn't want to be alone in the dark, however, is the district of Grieß, the city park and the train station. However, not for the reason that it is unsafe, but there are often stranger people.

Graz used to be a very safe city, but the last few years, it has become a bit more dangerous to walk alone at night. There have been more crimes and assaults reported than a decade ago, so I would recommend paying attention at night and not walking home alone. However, many women do walk home alone and feel safe, so I'm more on the careful side.

Solo travel

Graz is really safe and beautiful city. I am living it in here for 2 months and i am happy in here. If you want to travel around city you should use bikes. It is way easier and cheap way of doing it. I think you will enjoy here!
