It is a quiet town, with a high level of safey. After the dark, very few people are out. The main disadvantage is that public transport doesn't run in the night, and ordering taxis is not easy if one does not speak German.

Klagenfurt is a city rather for retirement people than a criminal party city. It has a university and a few clubs but all in all rather small and a vacation place. Especially in the summer it’s nice to sit at the lake, which I always feel safe at. In the night I usually feel safe walking, but what is annoying is that many public lights are broken, so there are some places that a a bit dark, but so far I didn’t have a bad experience

I have lived in Klagenfurt more than a year now and I would say that It’s pretty quiet city with beautiful lake view in summer and snow and skating in winter overall would recommend the visit for two weeks or something I have never felt danger at all I have done many night walks very late and always nothing dramatic just quiet and peace and the police are everywhere around the clock also that’s a plus for safety

Hi I am Vivien 18 years old. My boyfriend is doing an internship for 3 months and I wanted to visit him for 8 days. He has 4 days off work and I was wondering if anyone else going there alone would want to neet up and explore alcudia a little with me😇

I’m Japanese from Tokyo and currently doing my exchange semesters in Klagenfurt, Austria :) During my exchange semester, I would love to travel in Europe and know about the cultures!
