Vienna is a very safe city. Especially during the night there are a lot of people on the streets and I also feel very safe using public transport. I‘ve been living in Vienna for almost 3 years now and nothing has happened before.
Posted: April 24, 2025Graz is totally safe. I often have to go home alone in the dark and I have never experienced something threatening. I usually ride my bike, so I have less experience with the bus and tram, but I would say they are safe too.

Like every place on earth you feel a little scared walking alone at night but honestly nothing bad ever happened to me or to anyone I know. A friend of mine got their house robbed once but that's because they left their door open. I've never been catcalled, groped or threatened.
Posted: April 23, 2025I'd say fairly save. Walking alone after dark might be scary in some places so always try to stick to a group if you can. But during the day you'd have very little to worry about, at least to my experience.

Overall I feel like Vienna is a safe city. I rarely feel unsafe and when I do it is usually when I take the public transport at night alone. there are weird men that tend to make me uncomfortable. I also have heard stories of men following women home. So do be cautious
Posted: April 22, 2025Relatively safe for a capital city — of course there are crazy people everywhere but I think Vienna is one of the safest cities for solo female travellers, most people stay in their own lane and dont bother you

One of the most welcoming & safe cities ever imo, whether you're a woman, a foreigner or wtv, everyone may just look serious but is actually so nice, willing to help & friendly. for a big city, this is also one of the more cozy & homey ones

Graz is a pretty safe and calm place, unfortunately no place is 100% safe. Just be mindful of your surroundings, trust your gut feeling and don't go into dark allies at night(and try to avoid Gries or public parks at night it's not horrible but it can definitely get scary and unsafe sometimes)

As a woman of course I still dont like walking home alone at night but in general Vienna is a very safe city and I rarely experience harrassment. There are some areas that I would avoid alone at night but even there I wouldnt be worried to the maximum.
Posted: April 15, 2025Graz is a smaller scale city. It is very safe in my opinion. I have no problem walking around at nighttime alone and no worries regarding my safety. Like in all cities there may be some places which are to avoid but overall a very safe space

I traveled Vienna with my partner in 2024. We stayed in an Airbnb right in the city centre — of course the location had us feeling a little uncomfortable going out late, just the two of us, but that’s an experience I assume I’d have in any big city at night :) We were very lucky — as <20 year olds, we could visit many museums for free, which made up for our housing and food being quite expensive in comparison to it at home :) All in all, I’d definitely recommend a visit, especially, when you’re, like us, interested in culture & under 20 :)
Posted: April 24, 2025We felt very safe in Vienna, roaming around in the late hours at night. I came with my boyfriend. I really liked the architecture and I felt I was in a movie the whole time, everything was so beautiful, the moment we stepped around the city centre you did not need a map anymore, every 2 minutes you will find another breathtaking building or monument. I don't have food or restaurant recommendations bcz we mainly ate at McDonalds and at home. I spent 100€/day. We stayed in the Waldmullergasse something street, and it was very quiet all the time, we had a Billa supermarket right around the corner. As for the public transportation, we did not use it much, we mainly walked. From our house to the main attractions it was around 30-40 mins of walking.

I'm 18, originally from Ukraine, but I feel at home practically anywhere. I love to cook, I love asking weird questions, and I feel like the world is full of so many great people and experiences and I want to live it all!!

Hi!! I’m Nina and I love to get to know different cultures and people 🫶🏻✨ I haven’t traveled solo yet, but my goal is to get out of my comfort zone and experience life in a different way🙌🏼 I am very outgoing and enjoy getting to know others❤️ Learning languages is part of my “travel-motivation” as it makes me feel more connected to my travel destinations 🫂
