Solo travel experience
Hi, I have travelled to Milan a few times. The city felt quite safe. Places I visited was duomo, navigli, churches, hotels. The Bvulgari hotel was nice. Art museums and shops. I basically went there to meet friends nice to relax by the river, there is dancing, food and drinks. Very sociable

Solo travel experience
I felt very safe in Milan. I got around by public transport, which was easy and safe. If you don't want to stand in line for hours to get in the Dome, just wait for a mass and walk in for free. You can't take photos thou. Being a low budget traveller, I didn't go out, but cooked for my dear hosts and had lovely time with them ☺ I found that people are very friendly and helpful in Milan.

Group travel experience
The experiencd itself was average, sadly because of the plan that the group made, or lack thereof. But the city was lovely, albeit crowded. We went to the Starbucks Reserve Roastery and though it was perfectly beautiful, the extreme amount of people there would not let me enjoy it. Or have breakfast in a reasonable time, since one had to make a long line for each item to buy or to even get in. The cathedral on the other hand is certaiy worth the wait and the hype. Liky because the amount of people inside is controllled. Suggest to buy your tickets in advance from their website and to make it early. If you are a catholic check their mass times and attend to those instead of buying tour ticket.

My family and I visited Milan. Great shopping and the Duomo is a must-see. We visited the Duomo inside and also walked up the stairs to the beautiful "terrazze", that is the rooftop with hundreds of statues. Nearby Milan, there are several adventures parks (parco avventura). With zip lines and trees to climb. Lots of fun for kids and adults!
