A very safe city; historically, there has been some criminal activity related to drugs but the rates are dropping in the town and a visitor would not notice at all. Thefts and the similar is very uncommon.

I would describe it as pretty safe. As with any city it depends on where in the city you are, however I very rarely feel unsafe. Although I do think it is safe to walk alone at night, it can be a little scary and if you are unlucky you may experience some uncomfortable situations. But all in all I would say it’s a safe city and if you’re with a friend, they will usually leave you alone.
