Coruña is very safe, however there are areas like Los Mayos or Sagrada Familia that aren't as safe. The center of Coruña or Matogrande are very safe, I have never had any problems. At night there are lots of people and bars open.

Coruña is a safe and not excessively expensive city, depending on the areas where you move around. There are many places where you can eat delicious and cheap food, as well as delicious and nice-looking food; among those I recommend: - Breakfast: Doña Bárbara, Waco, Habaziro, Go Coffee, Astro Café, Lumar Cafeteria - Meals/Dinners of various styles and budgets: Picnic, Pizza Pepe, O Fieital, Terra Mía, Leviathan, Uro, Arrabiata, Sushi Utopia, Árbore da Veira, Koh Lanta... - Vermouth: Chitín, Jamonería La Era - Drinks/Nightlife: Brétema, La Intrusa, Casto, Cruel, Cotton, Clover - Party/Clubbing: (free entrance) Brétema, La Calle, Soho (30+); (€) Amura, Brit, Inn... The most economical and comfortable area to stay is in Los Mallos, which is well-connected to the bus and train stations. If you want to exercise, Mcfit (now Basic Fit) or Synergym are good in terms of quality-price atmosphere. Don't miss visiting the house of Pablo Picasso, the Marta Ortega Foundation, the Tower, the menhirs... 🎀
Posted: July 27, 2024Coruña is very safe for women, but you have to be careful in some neighborhoods such as Sagrada Familia or Barcelona street, and also in the area around Los Mayos. Besides these areas, there are no issues. The area of Matogrande is very quiet and safe. The city center has many restaurants where you can eat; for example, Sampaio offers a wide variety at a low cost. A good way to get around the city is by bicycle, as the city has a comfortable and safe bike lane.
Posted: March 23, 2024Coruña is one of the most beautiful provinces in Spain. Costa da Morte has in my opinion the best beaches in the country. -Safe for women -Safe for solo travelers -Safe a night -Food is amazing! Lots of fresh fish and seafood but also with options for vegans. - The best way to get around the province is by car but their capital is very walkable and has lots of buses connecting different parts of town. There are also fast trains connecting to the rest of the provinces in Galicia and Madrid. - There’s so much culture to be discovered and outdoors to be explored.
