Solo travel

I spent 6 days in Mallorca in April, and it was memorable. The weather was perfect with lots of sunshine and mildy humid. I stayed in Palma de Mallorca, but travelled to the nearby towns and beaches. Transportation is excellent and most beaches are accessible by bus.

I really enjoyed traveling the island! I would definitely recommend going to soller. And a also did a dolphin tour- that was amazing! I didn't visit the party part of the island, cause I wouldn't have felt save being alone.

Family travel

I recommend Mallorca for female solo travels. It’s a safe island. You can have beach life and nightlife. The island is quite small, but I recommend to rent a car and visit it, driving is safe, the routes are well maintained.

Solo travel

Spent a few days walking, hiking, and swimming. So much to see and so much accessible by foot or bike (lots of cyclists and rentals everywhere). Incredible beaches (sandy on one side, rocky on the other). Super safe, stress-free place. Absolutely recommend it for solo travel.

Group travel

We felt very safe during our stay, I can recommend booking a “Finca” instead of a hotel! There are many houses (for example on Airbnb) with great prices if you’re planning on going with a group of people (so the prices can split). Santanyí has some great restaurants! Our favourite has been “Anoa” - we’ve been there twice in a week.

Solo travel

I recently returned from a short solo trip to Majorca. I felt very safe there. I even left my belongings on the beach, but for peace of mind, I kept my phone, documents, and money in a waterproof case. I didn't experience any discomfort traveling around the island.

Solo travel

Mallorca was beautiful, warm, and I felt safe there. On the first day, I visited Palmanova and relaxed on the beach. It was pleasant, but too cold to swim. The next day, I took a bus to Palma and did a sightseeing tour around the city, stopping at the castle. I also took part in a boat trip. The cathedral in Palma was stunning. Then I walked around the city. On the third day, I boarded a hundred-year-old train from Palma to Soller, which was the best part of my trip.

Is Mallorca safe for women?

Mallorca in general is a very safe island. There are many tourists, which in the main city Palma de Mallorca attract some pick pocketers, which can basically happen anywhere in the world. Also, if you own a luxury home, the chances for break-ins are higher than usual here on the island.
