Is Trapani safe for women?

Overall a very space place, especially in winter. The only problem is that as soon as the sun comes up, men become crazy. One guy grabbed my ass in the middle of the street before running away (and, not that it should change anything, but I wasn't even wearing a dress, I was in full regular pants). And two different guys crept up behind me on two different beaches to take pics of my ass (???). Apart from these psychos, I have lived there for eight months and felt quite safe. I discovered after leaving for a week that my balcony window opened itself with the wind; anyone could have come in, and no one did. The only other danger is drivers, Sicilians are a real road hazard, especially if you move around on a bike.
