Transport:Easy

Corfu is quite navigable with a mixture of travel options like buses, taxis, and even renting a car or scooter, if you are comfortable driving in a new place. However, public transportation schedules can be a bit unreliable at times.

Solo travel experience

A very green island with lots of beautiful views. There are many small, secluded beaches with crystal clear water. You can also find sandy beaches here. On the island, there is a charming town of Corfu with numerous monuments and atmospheric Italian-style alleys. The island will certainly enchant everyone. However, it's quite a popular place, so it can get crowded during the season.

Solo travel experience

I went alone to Corfu in early July and absolutely loved the place. Everyone is very friendly, and the Old Town is charming. Some of my activities included a one-day boat trip to Paxos and Antipaxos (this was the best thing I did), a one-day trip to Sarande in Albania, and a food tour around Corfu Town. The entire time I was there, I felt very safe and comfortable.

Solo travel experience

I spent a few days in Corfu. I visited Palaiokastro and a town near the old fortress. The beach at Palaiokastro was beautiful, with crystal clear water, amazing views, and charming fish, but it got crowded later in the day. They also have an amazing waterfront restaurant with really good food there. Along the way, there were smaller inlets that might have been better, but I didn't get a chance to try them out. I definitely recommend going there at sunset, it was beautiful, and I really enjoyed the chance to admire this place. I stayed in a local hostel that was very nice, clean, and located close to a bus station and town.

Solo travel experience

I spent a month in Corfu and it is one of my favorite places on earth. I recommend the beautiful beaches of Palaiokastritsa, Sidari, and Glyfada. I got to all of these beaches by public bus, so it was easy and inexpensive. Overall, I think that Corfu is quite cheap and not crowded with tourists. I really loved spending time on this island.
