I loved Vienna! I went with my boyfriend and visited all the Christmas markets as well as a few ballets in the Opera! It was very cold so I recommend dressing in layers if you visit during winter since I got frostbite
Posted: July 1, 2025Experienced: November, 2024I felt very very safe. I stayed at the Magdas Hotel..... it was nice. Vienna has a lot of interesting places and events to experience. Donau island is great for relaxing and you can even swim there for free!
Posted: June 22, 2025It was really cold. I feel more than save. I meet a girl that was traveling alone too. It was a really good experience. The food was really good, I ate a lot, it was expensive but good. Also I was there for my birthday and the people was nice.

I travelled with 5 guy friends of mine. I think thats why I always fehlt safe in the city. The people are not that friendly and more like cold and nonchalant. The weather was very bad in feburary and it was freezing cold. There were no chill Bars and nothing really interesting to do. The U-Bahn stations were very very creepy

I traveled w my bf for 3 days. I felt safe even in the evening, but there were tourists around, so mb it was 1 time experience. I fell in love w Vienna, it has really astonishing architecture and museums. The transportation system is amazing and fast! We stayed in “smart apartments”, pretty, clean and near the train station. Vienna is a bit expensive for some countries, but it’s bearable. I don’t really like austrian cuisine, so we were cooking for ourselves and eating mcdonald’s😝 on the third picture there’s the place, were they will add sauce for apple strudel(it’s +5euro) and strudel was not really good, so u can skip this place and smth else for this price. overall Vienna is beautiful!!!

I spent 2 days in Vienna and it was truly one of the most beautiful places I’ve ever been to. It’s a little expensive if you’re on a budget but cheaper food options are available and if you’re not a fan of museums like me you can explore the city by just walking around. The only museum-like place I’ve been to is the National Library and it is free for people under 19 years old(8€ for older) I really liked the aesthetic of the buildings and there are a lot of parks which makes it a lot better. Fyi, the famous Figlmüller didn’t really amaze me but it’s worth a try if you have the time and budget. Also, don’t miss out on the Prater if you like amusement parks, there are a lot of unique and fun attractions and I recommend going on the ferris wheel in the sunset.

I think vienna is one of the safest cities in europe in terms of crime and harassment. still as a woman I believe no matter where you are in the world you should be careful if travelling by your own!

I feel like Vienna is an overall safe city I wouldn't recommend walking alone at night in sketchy places but I think in the touristy spots are always some people so you're probably not alone but I think the risk of sexual harassment is present in every city catcalling happens sometimes
