I love Vienna! It was my first solo journey and I’m so grateful for this experience!!! I felt completely safe there, that’s a city with amazing history, culture and food! I’ve spent not that much, because I like to travel cheap, so I ate mcdonalds and food from supermarket. I used couchsurfing for staying there, it was an amazing experience!!! My couchsurfer was a girl with amazing energy and we were talking a lot about our cultures. I’m in love with Albertina museum and I recommend you to visit it, it’s amazing! Transport aren’t expensive, so I liked it too

Hi, I travelled with my friends there . Every well connected. Very safe even at night times. As always there were some weirdos but leaving them aside it was beautiful place. Lovely buildings. Felt it was too hot. Tasty food and water. Friendly people . Less expensive food when compared to Belgium. Excellent public transport.

Vienna is a very safe city. I really enjoy walking around. We travel there in January 2024 so he was very very cold. The restaurants are a bit expensive. The best thing about this city is that music is everywhere. We attended several jazz concert as well as opera and ballet. We love everything about the concert. It is a romantic city full of music, we also enjoy our shopping experience there in the city centre .

For me is Vienna a little bit overated. I was on concert with my female friends and we stay in Vienna for 2 night. The city is pretty, but food and drinks are too expensive. Transfer by taxi is so expensive so I recommend metro.

I was meant to go to Vienna with a friend but she unfortunately couldn’t make the trip, so I decided to carry on the trip solo and I am so glad I did. Vienna is one of the safest places I’ve travelled solo, and even better, I made friends along the way. The baroque architecture is gorgeous and I would definitely want to live here. As for the food, went for a delicious vegan Wiener Schnitzel for dinner upon my arrival and then had a Käsespätzle the next day for lunch. I recommend going for a city tour and then checking out one of the museums. Belvedere Palace is a must, a lovely museum inside and out. Even though I went in January, the weather was mild albeit windy. I’d still recommend going during that time as well if you’re looking for a winter city break getaway!

easy to reach. Museums cost between 10-20€. It may be expensive if you eat in famous places, but I think it is worth a try. This was my second time going and I had so much fun. You can find cheap opera tickets on the ticket gretchen app. I went to the ballet show for 5€.
Posted: July 19, 2024Wandering through Vienna, I marveled at the opulent Schönbrunn Palace, savored a Sacher-Torte in a cozy café, and listened to a sublime concert at the Musikverein. Vienna's charm is timeless and enchanting.
Posted: July 11, 2024I felt safe in Vienna, mostly a calm city. If you are gonna visit for the first time, easy choice. But if you are a little bit adventurous, can be unsuitable. Except that, great buildings, museums and bakeries. Easy to get around, download a map,you will be find, easy to get a sim card.

I went on a 2 day solo trip to vienna, and overall it was a very safe experience. I did have some issues with communication sometimes because the people i interacted with mostly spoke only german. i also went clubbing alone and even that was very safe. i went to the history museum and i stayed at a hostel and also went to a famous Irish pub in the city and got treated really well by everyone. i would genuinely recommend going to Vienna alone!

Pretty safe for walking home after dark, but there are meny femicides (many of them coming from ex-partners), also sexual assaults and rape cases in Austria, so I guess there is still a fairly high risk and I would still recommend to stay attentive when going out for example
Posted: November 27, 2024Walking home at night is no problem in many districts (my experience mostly covers districts 1-9, 12, 15-19, 21). Maybe avoid some places with addicts (U Gumpendorfer Straße, U Josefstädter Straße) to feel safer, but I (white woman in her late 20s/early 30s) was never harrassed there. Public transport is safe and reliable, even at night.

Vienna once stole my heart and I stayed here. But I still love to discover new places and rediscover already visited. I enjoy taking pictures of buildings and especially details that I find curios. Also I'm into fantasy and sci-fi books, speak Russian, German and English and I find it relaxing to take care of my many plants.
