Travelling alone in Vienna I felt really safe! I never experience night life in this case however I did everything by foot including walking home alone when it started to be nighttime and I always felt good. Museums are great, many stuff to see about Klimt, the city is really pretty, the churches and parks too; however coming from France the *french* bakery looked catastrophic from the outside😂
Posted: November 12, 2025It was a really nice trip. I could admire the beautiful architecture of Vienna, I especially loved the Hundertwasserhaus, since he's a very admirable architect with a beautiful and inventive mind. but. one is for sure. The prices are overwhelming. I also didn't like the bus system. It was almost impossible to pay with card even when the system said otherwise
Posted: November 8, 2025Experienced: April, 2025One of the safest cities that I have been to. Many attractions, beautiful architecture, history, good wine. People are really friendly, especially stuff in restaurants or bars. Prices are pretty high but you can find different options. Very clear public transport, it's easy to travel and hard to get lost haha.
Posted: September 27, 2025I felt safe, i had a lot of fun with my family, but I struggled with food because I'm vegetarian. The city is beautiful and FULL of history and art. I loved it. I suggest you to visit the museum of the war because it is underrated

Vienna is generally very safe. At night, it’s good to avoid the Prater park and Praterstern area, but otherwise it’s a safe city. Don’t fall for sob stories in train stations (“train fare” needed, fake pregnancies, people asking for directions and crowding you …), those are professional scammers. Bolt taxis offer a female driver service if needed.
Posted: November 22, 2025I feel very safe when I go out in vienna. But still, you should always be aware of your surroundings, as you should be everywhere. When you go out at night you probably will see some strange people. If you stay aware and don't let them get to close, it should be fine. As a 21 year old woman, Im often on my way home late at night and alone, I even feel save enough to listen to music.

I’ve been living in Vienna for about 15 years now, and I usually feel safe — it’s a pretty safe city overall. Of course, like any big city, there are some areas I’d rather avoid as a woman, especially at night. But overall, I love the feeling of walking around, exploring the streets, and enjoying the city without constant worry.
Posted: October 27, 2025Compared to all other big cities in Europe for me Vienna is the safest city. I have lived and traveled other big cities in Europe too, so i guess for me best one would be Vienna, Köln was also not bad travelled few times

Hey there, I'm Dari, 25 y.o., born in Siberia, and Austria is my Number 7 country of residence which cost me my mental health but also gave me lots of awesome memories! I lost myself many times, but at the same time I saw beautiful places, met amazing people, and lived through all the ups and downs of being a newcomer. More than 7 years ago I started solo travelling, and found out that there are so many people thriving to see the world just like me! This is truly inspiring! I love travelling more than anything else, but also trying to reduce the carbon trace by not going anywhere out of my institute except vacation destinations. I also try to cycle, walk and hike as much as possible, love every single step I make on my own! 🌱 Studies and research take the most of my daily life which I truly enjoy and adore, thus it leads me to some random passions instead of long-term hobbies. Hiking and cycling are must in my life, but I also like watching fashion shows and tennis, which I do occasionally. I love making videos about my trips, draw and write poems, but I never get time for anything so I ended up with laundry and groceries being my only permanent hobbies. I also really love trying new things, this year was lucky to play golf and paint with oil for the first time and hopefully will get to paragliding or surfing in the nearest future! I never stop setting new goals and challenge myself, I believe life goes fast so take it all while you can!

Hi I’m Cris from Austria. I’m currently on a health journey, staying active, and keeping things simple and focused – but travel is my way to reset, get inspired, and meet people who bring fresh energy. I’m down-to-earth, clean, independent, and appreciate honest conversations. I don’t need much – just good vibes, mutual respect, and maybe a walk through the city or along the coast. I’m happy to share space, stories, or just enjoy quiet company whatever feels natural.

My name is Lucia, but most people call me Lucy☀️ I am a very open and fun-loving person. I love to get to know and try new things 🌻 I am an absolute ocean lover, love all kinds of sports and love to travel! I've traveled a lot over the last few years - mostly alone. The best thing about traveling alone is meeting so many new people along the way ☺️ That's why I registered on this platform. I will be starting my trip around the world in October and I am currently looking for someone to start with me in South Africa (Zimbabwe)☀️ Feel free to contact me if you are interested, I am already looking forward to hearing from you☺️
