I love Vienna! It was my first solo journey and I’m so grateful for this experience!!! I felt completely safe there, that’s a city with amazing history, culture and food! I’ve spent not that much, because I like to travel cheap, so I ate mcdonalds and food from supermarket. I used couchsurfing for staying there, it was an amazing experience!!! My couchsurfer was a girl with amazing energy and we were talking a lot about our cultures. I’m in love with Albertina museum and I recommend you to visit it, it’s amazing! Transport aren’t expensive, so I liked it too

Hi, I travelled with my friends there . Every well connected. Very safe even at night times. As always there were some weirdos but leaving them aside it was beautiful place. Lovely buildings. Felt it was too hot. Tasty food and water. Friendly people . Less expensive food when compared to Belgium. Excellent public transport.
Posted: September 4, 2024Innsbruck is a great place to stay if you like the mountains. It's incredibly expensive, therfore only 4 stars, but you can be sure, that everything you buy, eat, do is out of good quality. The coffee is tasty and people are friendly, I felt very safe. If you are in a budget, avoid Innsbruck! If not, enjoy :)
Posted: September 2, 2024Experienced: July, 2024I really enjoyed being in Austria, I wasn't afraid to go out at night even if I was alone. The Austrians were very kind, and took the time to give good advice. I never felt any unkind looks or that I wasn't welcome. The smile was always there.

Vienna is a very safe city. I really enjoy walking around. We travel there in January 2024 so he was very very cold. The restaurants are a bit expensive. The best thing about this city is that music is everywhere. We attended several jazz concert as well as opera and ballet. We love everything about the concert. It is a romantic city full of music, we also enjoy our shopping experience there in the city centre .

For me is Vienna a little bit overated. I was on concert with my female friends and we stay in Vienna for 2 night. The city is pretty, but food and drinks are too expensive. Transfer by taxi is so expensive so I recommend metro.

I was meant to go to Vienna with a friend but she unfortunately couldn’t make the trip, so I decided to carry on the trip solo and I am so glad I did. Vienna is one of the safest places I’ve travelled solo, and even better, I made friends along the way. The baroque architecture is gorgeous and I would definitely want to live here. As for the food, went for a delicious vegan Wiener Schnitzel for dinner upon my arrival and then had a Käsespätzle the next day for lunch. I recommend going for a city tour and then checking out one of the museums. Belvedere Palace is a must, a lovely museum inside and out. Even though I went in January, the weather was mild albeit windy. I’d still recommend going during that time as well if you’re looking for a winter city break getaway!

Salzburg is super safe to travel as a female solo traveller. I used public transport to go around (I took the 3 day tourist card) and they are really reliable. The food was nice (ate Wiener Schnitzel) but unfortunately I didn't really explore the culinary. I was also registered to the free-walking-tour. Was the best decision because not only someone can "show" you around but also you got interesting information!

easy to reach. Museums cost between 10-20€. It may be expensive if you eat in famous places, but I think it is worth a try. This was my second time going and I had so much fun. You can find cheap opera tickets on the ticket gretchen app. I went to the ballet show for 5€.
Posted: July 19, 2024Wandering through Vienna, I marveled at the opulent Schönbrunn Palace, savored a Sacher-Torte in a cozy café, and listened to a sublime concert at the Musikverein. Vienna's charm is timeless and enchanting.

Innsbruck is a small town with few bad spots. However patriarchy and rape culture and creeps are everywhere - I was followed and harrassed in Innsbruck as well, but nothing major. Overall pretty safe. In the city center you can walk at night without problems. My best tip: BIKE. Super safe, city is small enough to be everywhere in 30min.

Between my job and renovating a house in Austria, in the countryside, here's little time left. Nevertheless, I try to make time for reading, walking, and traveling. Unfortunately, travel has to take a backseat at the moment. As for me, I'm very open-minded and enjoy meeting new people. I'm a bit clumsy and don't take myself too seriously.

Hi, I have recently moved in and here’s my thoughts on Vienna: • the architecture of city is gorgeous — will inspire people, especially ones who are looking for pure aesthetic pleasure • to get easily oriented in subway just simply download the map on your phone (so you would always have an easy access) and look on the end stations names and the directions of arrows, that show stations

Vienna is a safe city for women. I have never had any troubles even at night even in "bad" districts. Of course it's better to stay aware of the surroundings, as in any big city, but you don't have to be always alert or anything. There many beautiful and historical places, some of them are very expensive but still impressive. For example Schloß Schönbrunn or Belvedere both have magnificent parks, so you could have great time walking around (Botanical garden by Belvedere is also free to visit). There also other green arias in the city worth visiting, like Kahlenberg, Lainzer Tiergarten or Türkenschanzpark. If you are into design and applied arts, then defitily go to MAK and Möbelmuseum. Hundertwasser house and museum are worth appreciation from outside. Also Arsenal (Heeresgeschichtliches Museum) is also with visiting at least from outside (it is also near to Belvedere). You can also find lots of soils with drink water - water there is very refreshing and safe for drinking. There are lots of places outside of the city center that are worth visiting any time of the year 😊
Posted: August 7, 2024Hello ladies, i live in krems and never felt unsave here. It'sa pretty calme, cozy city with a lot of culture and history. I recomand you to do a 'nachtwächterführung' in the evening. It's a nice way to learn about the city

I would consider Linz very safe at any time of day and night. It’s a small town but beautiful alongside the danube river. Especially during summer months there are lots of cultural events happening in the old town centre. Just walk around the city centre, enjoy the view from the castle, take the tram up to Pöstlingberg and visit ARS Electronica Center. Chill in a deckchair in Sandburg, our beachbar, or buy snacks and drinks at the shop and just sit in the grass with a blanket to watch the beautifully lit modern buildings next to the river and the boats passing by. I can also recommend renting a bike for cycling alongside the Danube, e.g. to Passau and take the boat back. There are good train connections to: Vienna, Salzburg, Graz, Innsbruck, Munich, Prague, Bratislava, Budapest, Zürich, … Just make sure to buy tickets in advance to get best prices!
Posted: June 25, 2024Austria is a very safe place for women. Actually is the first time that I felt so safe in my life. It has amazing mountains, villages, cities full of green and forests. I totally recommend to visit all the cities.

I think Graz is a beautiful town with full of history to see. I would suggest if you travel alone to stay in the more visited areas at night time and to take precautions when going home late for example going by Uber is more safe than a regular taxi in my opinion.
Posted: April 18, 2024Graz is a very safe city. You don't have to be afraid to walk home in the dark. The public transportations are also safe. Moreover, all parts of the city are safe. Where I wouldn't want to be alone in the dark, however, is the district of Grieß, the city park and the train station. However, not for the reason that it is unsafe, but there are often stranger people.
Posted: April 8, 2024I would say at everywhere, it depends on where exaxtly you are. Generally its safe here in St. Pölten but i have to admit, in the last years there are some places to beq little bit carefuld about - espacially at night. E.g, in sparkassenpark you should be careful at night. Concerning food: we are small so we dont have so much different Restaurants but we have some good Italien and chineese Restaurants. St. Pölten is compared to other City in austria a cheap Travel goal and a big advantage is, when taking the train, you are in Vienna within 30 minutes to do some sightseeing there too. St. Pölten itself only has a handfull sights, since we are kind of a small city. We have a good Public Transport here with a good Bus System. So a car or Taxi is not necessarry. Also when being in center you come everywhere by walking without problem in a short time.

Bregenz is a very beautiful and safe place for everyone. Also for young female travellers. I like spending time at the Lake of Constance. There is a promenade and I love to enjoy the sunset there. I usually go there with my friends, but I also enjoy going there alone. The transport is very easy, there are plenty of regional buses. You can go up a mountain called ‚Pfänder‘ by cable car and have a nice view over the city and the lake. - lots of cafés - good food spots - friendly people - safe for women
