Route: Days 1 & 2 - Vienna Days 3 - 5 - Salzburg (including day trips) Days 6 & 7 – Innsbruck Safety: Don't worry about safety. You won't have any problems. Recommendations: Public transport in Austria is quite good, in terms of coverage, price, and frequency.

Austria as a whole can be considered a very safe country. Kidnappings and similar are quasi non existent. What has been becoming a very sad and concerning issue in the past years are femizides. These are typically not random attacks but occur in partnerships.
