It was a relatively safe place, during the day it was fine I felt tots safe but at night (sadly like most places) as a woman it was a little sketchy so I wouldn’t go out alone anywhere. The restaurants and activities are very eclectic, it’s definitely an artistic community. Great food low prices comparatively.

Raleigh is generally safe, there are just a few sketchy people hanging about the downtown area, but it’s what you would expect in a city. That being said it’s very pretty and i’ve never had an issue there.
