Is Poipu Safe for Solo Female Travelers?

Kauai is beautiful and fun to drive around and check out beaches and towns. Rent a car. Plenty of fun activities also but they get expensive. I got boat sick on the Nā Pali coast tour but it was great to snorkel. I loved zip lining and the irrigation canal float. Definitely go diving or at least snorkeling. Po’ipu is a great place to watch the sunset. There are usually monk seals and turtles. It can get crowded though. The weather is tropical so it rains but then the sun comes back out. Kauai is a safe place to travel. I went with my parents who have an older time share. We enjoyed yoga & water fitness class at the resort. We cooked in the unit. Eating out is expensive. Go to Costco to save money. There are also many farmers markets for fresh fruit & vegetables but it can be pricey. Foodland has great poke and spam musubi. Go to Sueoki’s snack bar in Kōloa for very inexpensive fish sandwich ($5) or plate lunch.
