i felt safe but a bit expensive. i really enjoyed with universal studios. i stayed at hilton orlando lake buena vista. the overall experience with the hotel was good. i would give 7/10. the main problem was to find anything to eat at night (all shops were closed)
Posted: September 18, 2025I felt safe in Orlando, taking basic precautions like not walking alone late at night and sharing my location with my mom in Brazil. I often used Disney and Universal resort buses, which felt very safe and convenient. My favorite park was Epcot, with Guardians of the Galaxy as my top ride. Magic Kingdom is beautiful and the castle made me emotional, but I found it a bit too child‑oriented. Epcot’s food is amazing, especially at the World Showcase. I stayed in a comfortable place with easy park access and used ride‑share apps for transport — fast and convenient.
Posted: August 3, 2025Experienced: November, 2024It was fun. Have to plan it very well as there are things you could budget and still enjoy everything they have to offer. Went to Disney world. Even ate at their restaurants and with everyone we paid roughly 2k all together. We planned when to even go for the rides and the events they had. Also book a airbnb might be better as I’ve heard the hotels in Disney aren’t that great. We had a pool in our house that we rented which was amazing and even a cinema room which we enjoyed at least once. We were only there for one week 😂. It was safe and we didn’t really have any problems.

Orlando was great! We stayed in an gated community house that felt super safe. We did some exploring. The food in this area we delicious anywhere we went. The fruit was super sweet. We were there for a training camp, and we usually return at least once a year.

Pretty safe … like any other city some areas should be avoided, other than that I never had an issue, bee living here for 20 years I do avoid the downtown are at night since we had a few mass shootings

Depending on the town because when I think of Orlando i think of all suburban & city areas as an overall metropolitan area. Some places are a 3/10, some are an 8/10. It just depends on which area. Downtown however is just a cesspool!

Depending on the area you go to it’s very unsafe stay away from Pine Hills and Kissimmee it’s extremely dangerous and girls have disappeared. Downtown Orlando is dangerous at night and has many drug addicts and homeless who can and will randomly assault you. Otherwise, the nightlife, the vibes and the people are wonderful and we have many theme parks and things to do.

Orlando is safe in more tourist concentrated locations, primarily surrounding Disney and Universal. There are also wonderful neighborhoods with amazing food and activities such as Winter Park, Dr. Philips, Windermere, Sanford, and even East Orlando close to the University of Central Florida.

Orlando can be a very safe city! I have lived here over 10 years and am born and raised in Florida for most of my life. Just like any other larger US city, you simply need to be vigilant in certain areas of town. Always use reputable rideshare or taxi apps - Orlando has a history of problems with fake cabs. Be mindful of your cell phones when out at bars or clubs! We have pickpockets just like other cities. Areas like downtown or pine hills can be questionable if alone at night, but areas like Mills 50 and winter park are extremely safe and fun! So many things to do here, but as always just be mindful of your surroundings.
