Solo travel

Did a three day trip, and it was amazing! I did a solo hike part way up Mt. McGinnis to see Mendenhall Glacier! It's very easy to navigate the bus system, and local are friendly. The hostel is also right downtown!

Is Juneau safe for women?

Juneau is relatively safe and comfortable city with lots of summer tourists mostly coming in on cruise ships the locals are nice as long as you are considerate of your surroundings. As a woman I have never felt unsafe walking alone even late at night.

Juneau is a very safe place bring bear spray on the trails for bears and creepy men! Other than that it is really aafe. There is a bit of a homeless problem but they keep to themselves mostly and don’t pose a threat

About Me

Greetings my fellow amazing, beautiful, brave female travelers! I am a traveling dog sitter, expedition guide, yoga instructor, dance instructor and professional gypsy. Alaska was my most recent home for 10 years and I have been living out of my minivan traveling around the United States for the past year. I love to travel and explore new places, spend time with interesting people, spend as much time outdoors as possible, and hike to the end of the earth. I used to live in Egypt and was extremely active on couch surfing when I lived there and met people from all over the world and had an amazing experience. I am planning some European travel coming up and would love to meet some cool ladies and share experiences. I am very friendly, clean, communicative and easy to be around. I look forward to meeting you.
