Is Harbor Springs worth visiting?

Solo travel

I took a road trip to Michigan, not really having anything planned other than a couple destinations such as sleeping bear dunes, pictured rocks and mackinaw Island. I arrived in harbor springs where I met up with an old co-worker (they lived here) I was going to stay with them for that night to give me some time to prepare the rest of my stay. I drove to pictured rocks and did the full hike, I also camped out at pictured rocks so I stayed the night free there. The entire time I was hiking and staying in my tent I did not question my safety. Everyone I passed on the hike were extremely nice and helpful if I needed any reassurance that I was staying on the right path to finish the hike before dark. I stayed in Michigan for a week total. I spent two days at pictured rocks, than I drove to mackinaw island where you take a ferry to the island. This island is crazy cool there is no cars only bikes and horse wagons. I biked the whole island and swam in the chilly waters. The next day I drove to sleeping bear dunes where I played all day in the sands and hiked until you get to the big drop off down to the lake. Going down the sand dunes is fun going back up took about an hour because it’s solid said on a very steep incline. I found a public place to park near here and slept in my car. I never had any issues with safety and I would 100% do it all over again! I highly recommend traveling to Michigan and experiencing all these beautiful places !
