Is Folsom Lake State Recreation Area Safe for Solo Female Travelers?

Folsom Lake is so beautiful ... the water is beautiful ... the sand is beautiful ... I loved it! I spent the afternoon and evening there and I felt really safe. The place was full of families and children playing around and listening to music, most of them had their own barbecue and picnic going on but there is also a restaurant where you can have some food. There is also water activities rentals like jet ski and boats available. When you get there you will find a huge parking lot for your car and with a short walk you will be soaking your feet at the shore. Something that I really liked was the amount of trees providing shadow and the many water birds just enjoying the beach and the breeze at sunset. If you find yourself in Folsom you should definitely go visit the place.
