Brunswick, Maine (USA) is very safe for women in general. Women of color or women wearing hijab or other muslim-associated clothing may face judgement and maybe rude and hateful comments from one or two people around town. But most people do not say anything out loud if they are judging you. If you are a woman of color or someone thinks you are Muslim, you may be watched more closely in stores and restaurants. You do not need to worry about being physically attacked, though. Openly queer women are, generally, as safe as cis/het/non queer women are in this area.

I'm very chill, like spending time with my cat, reading, having coffee, eating new kinds of food, and exploring.
