Is Plymouth safe for solo female travelers?

Plymouth is generally a safe and friendly city, especially in the daytime and popular areas. As with any place, basic awareness at night is recommended, but mostly feel comfortable exploring and getting around at night is still safe.

I've lived in Plymouth for more than 2yrs now as an international student but I have never faced any issue related to safety at all. I walked home after my night shift and nothing ever happened to me. You will see some homeless people near the city centre and all but seriously no one has ever harmed me or anything.

I've never had any issues and I've lived here all my life. I often get the late public transport and have had nights out and I've never had issues. it's like most other smaller city's there is a few cases of crime here and there but overall it's okay
