Stayed in the city centre area, so everything is just convenient! Felt safe 100%! Was walking back to my hotel at about 2am and the streets were silent but the city lights were still on, I guess that the choice of hostel/hotel in the city centre helped with that :) You can go anywhere by just walking, they have a lot of stores, so I was mainly shopping for myself + souvenirs :)

Leeds is generally pretty safe in well lit and public areas in the day time. However, I feel like I need to be extra cautious walking around at night or going out for the nightlife as I have seen quite a few violent fights and aggression
Posted: February 17, 2025Leeds is safer than a lot of big cities in the UK. However, there are social issues, and the centre can be a little intimidating late at night. There are parts of the city that are considered to be no-go areas with a high crime rate and should be avoided at all costs

Hi all, and welcome. I'm Tracey, and I love the joys of travelling. I think life is about making memories, and what better way than exploring our beautiful and diverse planet. I write articles about places I've visited as a solo female traveller, and I can offer you advice about my own neck of the woods.
Andrea
Hi there! I'm Andy, 28 years old and give in way too easy to my spontaneous ideas. That's how I end up traveling solo for various things, including tattoos and now festivals ๐ And although I love solo traveling, sometimes I wish to get to know people at my destinations - that's why I'm here now. I love plants, animals and live music - mostly metal core. Can't wait to meet you! ๐
