Stayed in the city centre area, so everything is just convenient! Felt safe 100%! Was walking back to my hotel at about 2am and the streets were silent but the city lights were still on, I guess that the choice of hostel/hotel in the city centre helped with that :) You can go anywhere by just walking, they have a lot of stores, so I was mainly shopping for myself + souvenirs :)

Very safe, only feels unsafe after 2am but most people can walk home after a night out. I think there is no major concerns. I have no issues with the uber. There is a higher risk of racism though on a night out if that is applicable especially by the uni students on Otley (drinking pub crawl)
Posted: June 7, 2025Leeds is safer than a lot of big cities in the UK. However, there are social issues, and the centre can be a little intimidating late at night. There are parts of the city that are considered to be no-go areas with a high crime rate and should be avoided at all costs
