Such a lovely medieval city with lots of good stores and restaurants/tearooms/pubs, beautiful nature and nice attractions! The people are really friendly, I made lots of local friends during my stay. Totally worth the travel

Is Canterbury safe for women?

An old fashioned English town where the most crime happens on nights out or within the homeless community. I have walked alone through Canterbury in the dark and although as a woman you need to always be aware and cautious, I wasn't too worried about anything happening to me.

Canterbury is overall a very safe little town . There are some homeless people around the streets but never felt unsafe. Also being a student town the streets are alway busy and alive. I often go for walks in the evening and always feel safe.
