An old fashioned English town where the most crime happens on nights out or within the homeless community. I have walked alone through Canterbury in the dark and although as a woman you need to always be aware and cautious, I wasn't too worried about anything happening to me.

Canterbury is overall a very safe little town . There are some homeless people around the streets but never felt unsafe. Also being a student town the streets are alway busy and alive.
I often go for walks in the evening and always feel safe.

Such a lovely medieval city with lots of good stores and restaurants/tearooms/pubs, beautiful nature and nice attractions! The people are really friendly, I made lots of local friends during my stay. Totally worth the travel
