Is Ciudad Real safe for solo female travelers?

Ciudad Real is generally considered safe for solo female travelers. It's relatively small, and it's easy to navigate and get around. Crime rates are low, and locals are known to be friendly and helpful. However, as in any place, it’s always crucial to maintain common sense safety practices such as avoiding dimly lit and empty places during night hours, not displaying ostentatious valuables, and being aware of your surroundings.

I’ve been staying here for a month now. As I observed, it’s a small place with little people. There isn’t much to do, they have a museum though so that’s a plus. I had trouble with a landlady when I first arrived here and I was homeless for 9 days, but I could manage somehow and I have a place to stay now. However, I cannot say people are eager to help you or anything. My landlady made me sick because she wouldn’t fix the mold problem in the house and I was hospitalized because of her. Even though there were still friendly and helpful people in the hospital. People don’t know English here so, you better learn some Spanish.

Ciudad Real is one of the smallest cities in Spain. Because of this, it is basically a big village. It is an universitary city, so many of the population are students that don't usually cause any trouble.

I think in the 18 years I've lived in Ciudad Real, I've heard about less than 10 crimes being committed. Pickpocketting doesn't happen because we don't really have tourists and most of the crimes are squatting or maybe stealing valuables left in sight in the car. I'd say it's a pretty save city

It is a safe city overall, but you need to be careful not to enter to some neighbours. Other than that, I feel pretty safe. However, I don't feel comfortable walking alone at night but I guess it is a ✨️general women experience ✨️
