Olsztyn, is in my opinion a very safe place. You don’t really see serious crimes, fights, or dangerous situations, and there aren’t specific areas where you have to be extra careful about things like theft. People are generally helpful and friendly. Not everyone speaks English, so occasionally someone older might not be very open toward foreigners, but younger people usually speak English well and are easy to communicate with.

I feel safe here but there are man who would call me names and try to take my pictures or touch me improperly. I witnessed a situation where a man was taking photos of a girl from below to capture her underwear. Besides, it's really quiet and safe here, and situations like the ones i describe rarely happen.

Olsztyn is quite a safe city. I don't feel unsafe even at night. But as always, you may meet a drunk or unstable person on the streets, especially in summer at night, so just don't let your guard down.
