I feel safe here but there are man who would call me names and try to take my pictures or touch me improperly. I witnessed a situation where a man was taking photos of a girl from below to capture her underwear. Besides, it's really quiet and safe here, and situations like the ones i describe rarely happen.

Olsztyn is quite a safe city. I don't feel unsafe even at night. But as always, you may meet a drunk or unstable person on the streets, especially in summer at night, so just don't let your guard down.

It’s a number one city in Poland in the recent ranking of the cities in which people are the happiest, one of the factors was safety. I’ve been living here for almost all of my life (excluding 6 years of studies in different city) and I have never felt like I’m in danger.

During the day it is a pleasant city, even in crowded places usually full of families with children. Sometimes there are unpleasant situations in clubs or bars during night, weekend trips - then it is better not to be alone. Public transport does not run often at night, a walk at night on the main streets (avoiding the center and the train station) should be peaceful.

In general it can appear very safe but there are nobody on the streets after 9/10 p.m. so it's kind of weird to walk around in the evening. Also after 9 p.m. traffic lights are off and street lights are dim in general.
