solo trip to krakow.. such a beautiful city.. i spent a lot of time in the jewish quarter – loved the street art, the little cafés and the whole atmosphere.. the food was amazing too.. it was winter, so a bit cold, but honestly the city still felt warm in its own way.. would totally go again

I’d say I felt mostly safe because I stayed at a female only hostel. But i also enjoyed the nightlife and everyone was very respectful even though i was sadly dangerously intoxicated:( (was having a bad day)

Even at night I felt quite safe, but in the tenement house where we stayed there was a homeless man sleeping in the staircase, but he was calm. The area was very nice, about a kilometer from the market square. The food is of good quality

I traveled to Krakow solo and felt completely safe the whole time, even at night. The city is very walkable and easy to navigate. I stayed at a budget-friendly hostel near the Old Town, which was perfect for meeting other travelers. Highlights: Wawel Castle, Schindler’s Factory, and a day trip to Auschwitz (powerful and emotional—book in advance). For food, I recommend Milkbar Tomasza and trying zapiekanka in Kazimierz. Public transport is reliable, but I mostly walked. I spent about 40 EUR/day, including meals, museum entries, and transport. My itinerary: Day 1 – Old Town + Wawel; Day 2 – Auschwitz; Day 3 – Kazimierz + Vistula river walk. Krakow is perfect for solo travelers!

Kraków, when it comes to most european cities is REALLY safe, I mean, this is a big city, so logically there will be places and people, who will be strange, and sometimes suspicious, so it’s important to think smart, to not go through dark places alone. For better understanding, in Krakow you can go by tram in the middle of the night, and nothing bad will happen (ofc while being careful). Also better for you if you don’t tell anyone about which football team is better.

Krakow is really safe. Of course you have to be careful at night as everywhere. There is a really small amount of homeless people and sots comparing to other countries. Poland is considered a very safe country, consistently ranking high in European safety indices, with low violent crime, low homicide rates comparable to or lower than Western Europe, and high scores for solo female travelers due to safety and affordability.
Posted: December 16, 2025During night it’s safe to walk around the city centre. Although in the past there’ve been incidents of men walking around with weapons, not sure what’s their nationality was. But there’s not so much homeless people and if some people are drunk, they usually are not dangerous
Posted: November 10, 2025Well, I've never in my entire life of living here felt in danger while walking through the town. Of course, I might be an exception. But still, in Kraków, my only bad encounters were just with drunk people. Poland feels to me like one of the safest countries in the world after it gets dark. Here you don't have to worry about many things, e.g. pickpocketing, like in other countries, if you meet the bare minimum safety standards.

Kraków is a very safe city overall. In the city center, the only thing you have to look out for are pick picketers but thats not really common. Be careful at night, there are a lot of drunk people (mostly tourists) but it’s not very dangerous, just be aware of your surroundings and you’ll be fine.

Hi!!!😇 I’m Patrycja, and I mostly spend my time in my hometown Krakow, but I’m VERY opened in going around town and show places, food and nature. Second thing I’m most concerned about is learning language and looking for similarities between.

Hii!! I am Amelia (but I go by Keira). I am 18 years old. I am a dreamer with a backpack, a heart full of compassion, and a passport that's never dusty for long. I am currently doing my senior class at JDJ IOS American High School Online. I believe travel is less about ticking off destinations and more about building bridges - especially between hearts and ideas. I love volunteering abroad and have a deep passion for projects that make a difference. Whether it's helping animals, working with children, or participating in Erasmus+ exchanges, I seek out meaningful experiences that connect purpose with exploration. You will usually find me: - horse riding at golden hour - ice skating on ice rink - journaling in a park - taking care of kids - volunteering - or on another Erasmus+ youth exchange I adore deep conversations, spontaneous gateaways, souful music, and laughing until it hurts. I love slow travel, where I can feel the rhythm of a place and meet incredible women who inspire me - just like you. I’m looking to connect with fellow travel ladies for cultural exchanges, weekend escapes, shared volunteering projects, or just a coffee in a new city. I believe the best friendships are made under starry skies, on long train rides, or while getting lost in a new town together. Let's connect, if you are: 🌸 A solo traveler or expat 🧭 A purpose-driven adventurer 🎭 Someone who loves storytelling, activism or journaling 🏕 Into mindfulness, nature, or simply daydreaming by the sea 🐴 An animal lover (bonus if you want to help me build a rehab clinic for traumatized rescue animals someday!)
