Enschede is a small city in the Netherlands. It’s manly a student city due to the University of Twente. It’s got some night life but mainly on specific days and it’s more fun if you’re a student. People are very helpful!

It's pretty safe in the city center of Enschede during the day. When it's night I wouldn't be walking around alone. I usually bike when it's late out and that's fine. Some outskirts of Enschede can be a bit more sketchy though, so be aware. I wouldn't say that I am constantly worried being here, but I have heard a lot of stories from people I know that have been hurt before, so I would definitely be careful.

Very safe. I have never experienced much trouble. As a woman I feel most free in my own hometown. Walking alone at night, I would not do in most places at all. Equality is still to be sought everywhere, but less in Netherlands
