It's quite safe. You can roam around even at night and can bike all around the city. The only thing is not to go inside the park at night alone. Some shady people are around in that area but overall it's safe

This is a very safe city and the people as well as the police here are very open and helpful towards anything. The areas near the city centre are really safe and are lively till late at night and overall need not be worried

Enschede is a small city in the Netherlands. It’s manly a student city due to the University of Twente. It’s got some night life but mainly on specific days and it’s more fun if you’re a student. People are very helpful!

It's pretty safe in the city center of Enschede during the day. When it's night I wouldn't be walking around alone. I usually bike when it's late out and that's fine. Some outskirts of Enschede can be a bit more sketchy though, so be aware. I wouldn't say that I am constantly worried being here, but I have heard a lot of stories from people I know that have been hurt before, so I would definitely be careful.
