It was an incredible trip, the best part was the food I think, we did very beautiful routes and excursions to other cities. The bad part is that, being a woman, if I was alone for just ten seconds (no exaggeration) I would already feel the stares and people would say things to me. But overall, I would do it again, I recommend it.
Posted: February 13, 2026Experienced: August, 2025Tanger was a special place, but ita better go with people born there😊 i went with friends couple and was fantastic and confortable. I need to say that go only women walking in the street isn’t seeing normal…

I enjoyed a pleasant holiday in Morocco, visiting Marrakech and Tangier, wonderful cities where I enjoyed many experiences such as the food, guided tours of palaces or mosques. Discovering other cultures different from your own is always very enriching, and I would definitely return to explore more places in Morocco.

Tangier is safe for women travelers during the day in tourist areas as the medina, Corniche, & beaches. Harassment happens often (ignore it). Dress modestly. Many solo women enjoy it with precautions!
Posted: February 22, 2026As a local I can say tangier is decently safe, but that doesn’t mean that it really safe, like any city in the world there’s good and bad, personally I have never got robbed or sexually assaulted, but I did get catcalled multiple times and it get annoying sometimes.
Posted: December 25, 2024Tangier is pretty safe I would say and pretty much all of the northern area around the country . I've never really had a bad experience living and travelling around the city as a girl . The people are pretty warm and helpful as well .
