I think it is overall not bad. There are some people that are worth to avoid, but crime cases are pretty rare here. You can see conflicts pretty often, but most of the time no harm occurs. It is not the best city to travel to, but there are pretty many sights worth seeing.

Szekesfehervar is a small city near Budapest (only 40 min by train). I have been living here for 28 years now and I have never experienced nor heard about people being robbed, mugged, physically assaulted or anything else. Overall I would say it’s a very safe city and I wouldn’t be worried to walk home by myself in the middle of the night with my headphones on :)
